Shipping policy
At Taiga Farm & Seed, we hand-pack every order with care and attention. Because we ship both seeds and live plant matter (like canes and seedlings), our shipping windows vary by product and season. Please read the information below carefully to know what to expect.
Where We Ship
We currently ship to:

The continental United States (lower 48 only)

Canada
We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or any international destinations beyond Canada.
Orders placed with ineligible addresses will be canceled and refunded.
Shipping Timeline
Orders are typically packed and shipped within 7–10 business days after receipt. During seasonal peaks, fulfillment may take up to 2–4 weeks. Any known delays will be posted at the top of the cart page.
You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a USPS tracking link once your order ships.
Shipping Live Plant Matter
Our products include seeds and live plant material. Each is handled differently to ensure health and viability:

Seeds ship year-round, weather permitting.

Canes (e.g., elderberries) ship in spring only, before dormancy breaks and as conditions allow.

Seedlings (e.g., native plants) ship in fall, once fully rooted and ready for transplanting.
If your order includes seasonal items, we may hold the shipment until all items are ready.
Shipping Method & Carriers
We ship all orders via USPS. At checkout, you can select your preferred method based on price and speed. Shipping typically takes 2–10 days, depending on distance and service level.
Delivery times are not guaranteed and may vary due to carrier delays or weather conditions.
Shipping Cost
Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight, destination, and current USPS rates. Rates may change without notice.
Shipping Address Accuracy
You are responsible for entering a valid USPS or Canada Post address. If you need to update your shipping address, reply to your order confirmation email immediately or contact us at orders@taigafarmandseed.com with your order number and correct address.
An incorrect address may result in delays, non-delivery, or return-to-sender issues. A shipping confirmation with tracking will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
Combining Orders
Due to our limited team and high seasonal volume, we are unable to combine separately placed orders.
Modifying Orders
We cannot modify your order (e.g., add/remove items) after it has been placed. We also cannot access your payment information.
Canceling Orders
To cancel your full order before it ships, email us at orders@taigafarmandseed.com with your name and order number.
We are not able to cancel or remove individual items once an order is placed.

Tracking
All orders include USPS tracking. Once your package ships, you’ll receive an email with your tracking link.
Canadian shipments are trackable until they leave the United States.
Missing or Lost Packages
If your tracking shows “Delivered” but you haven’t received your order:

Wait 7 days; sometimes USPS marks packages as delivered prematurely.

Check with household members, neighbors, or your local post office.

Still missing? Contact us at orders@taigafarmandseed.com with your order number.
Please note: You assume ownership of the package once it leaves our facility. This includes loss or damage during shipping and after delivery.
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you to obtain a valid address. You will be responsible for the cost of reshipping.
Suspected Theft
If you believe your package was stolen:

File a claim with USPS.

File a police report if required.

Email us with your claim number and order details.
We will provide supporting documentation as needed.
Taiga Farm & Seed is not responsible for packages marked as delivered. Your business or renters/homeowners insurance may offer coverage.
Incorrect, Missing, or Damaged Items
We do our best to get your order right the first time. If something isn’t correct:

For incorrect or missing items: Email us with your name, order number, and photos (if applicable).

For damaged items over $50: File a USPS claim before contacting us. Then, email us with the claim number and supporting photos.
We’ll follow our Returns and Refunds policy to make it right.
Canadian Orders
Customers in Canada are responsible for:

Knowing and following their country's import rules

Paying any duties, taxes, or handling fees
If your order is returned due to refusal or failure to pay duties, your shipping cost will not be refunded and a 25% restocking fee will be applied.
We do not issue Phytosanitary Certificates and are unable to guarantee customs clearance.
